The project
A historic centre that almost nobody tells online. Until now.
We are a creative group working with 4 Rooms, the cultural association that gave life to the project, based in the heart of Cosenza Vecchia, in Via Abate Salfi. We start from an editorial plan that is already written and from the conviction that this place deserves to be told better.

Why it exists
2,500 years of history, almost nobody telling it
The historic centre of Cosenza is more than 2,500 years old, with workshops that have survived for generations and a castle that saw Frederick II pass by. It is a dense place — of history, of people, of details — that most of those who live there every day stop noticing, and that those who have never been do not even know exists.
The biggest dream is to become a point of reference for the whole old town: a map with routes and curiosities, collaborations with artisans and historic venues, room for their promotions. A hub that unites instead of setting people against each other — and that helps visitors from all over the world discover what they would otherwise walk past.
Who is behind it
The project is promoted by 4 Rooms, a cultural association based at Via Abate Salfi, 22, 87100 Cosenza (CS), Italy. The association is our counterpart and our point of reference for collaborations, requests and reports.
Those who produce the content prefer, for now, to stay behind the scenes: it is the places and the people of the old town who should speak. You can write to us through the contact form or at centrostoricocosenza@gmail.com.
How we work
No shortcuts, just consistency
We start from what we know
Cosenza, our old town. We know it from the inside, not from a marketing office: that is why the story rings true.
We publish consistently
An editorial plan written in advance, new content every week, across several channels — not when it happens, but when it is planned.
We look at real data
What works stays and is repeated, what doesn't is changed. No gut-feeling decisions: results count, not impressions.
If it works, it repeats
The model we are building in Cosenza should not stay here: every Italian historic centre that is still alive deserves the same treatment.
What we tell
Eight pillars, one place
Every piece of content comes from one of these eight pillars, so the story stays varied but always recognisable. Discover them in detail →
Where we want to go
From where we are to where we want to be
No fixed dates: steady growth, one step at a time, with the same criteria as always — what works stays.
A story already under way
Eight content pillars, fourteen places each with its own page, four walking routes, an English version of the site and new content on Instagram, TikTok, Facebook and YouTube.
More places, more collaborations
Expand the map with new place pages and new walks, open real space for the workshops and historic venues that want to be told — and give them direct visibility too, not just mentions.
A hub, not a shop window
To become the point of reference for those who live in, work in or visit the historic centre of Cosenza — a space that unites instead of setting people against each other. And, if the model holds, to replicate it for the other Italian historic centres that are still alive and that nobody tells.
For those who want to be part of it
The old town is better told by many
The project grows with those who live the old town and keep it alive. Choose where to start: the form fills itself in.
Shops and businesses
